The Taste at Paramount Pictures Studios-
September 4- 6, 2015. Los Angeles, California
Imagine hanging out at Paramount’s backlot sipping on fine wine and dining on some delicious food. This is exactly what the Taste is all about. Although a bit on the pricey side, ($100-$150 for tickets), this event is sure to leave a lasting Hollywood impression. With around 100 different quality Beers, Spirits, and Wines, this event is the perfect place to be during Labor Day weekend!
Sample The Sierra Lake Tahoe Farm-to-Fork Festival-
September 6, 2105. South Lake Tahoe, California
Another great festival in the Northeastern part of California is taking place on Labor Day. This festival is less pricey, at $40 a ticket, but still provides guests with an assortment of fresh foods, wine, art displays, and music. What is unique about this festival is that it delicately pairs local restaurants with local wineries to make the food and drink experience out of this world. Guests can also vote on what pairing they believe worked best for their taste buds.
Dinner and a Movie: Dirty Dancing–
September 18, 2015. Paso Robles, California
About two and a half hours south of San Jose you will find Paso Robles, California, home to JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery. In honor of wine month, JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery is holding a night filled with fun for friends or couples. Guests pay a $75 fee and receive dinner and wine tasting, followed by a showing of the movie Dirty Dancing. Guests are also encouraged to dress up. If you are interested in a classic 1960’s New York style dinner paired with amazing wine, this event is perfect for you!
Madera Wine Trail’s California Wine Month Celebration-
September 18, 2015. Madera, California
The Madera Wine Trail is hosting an event to celebrate the statewide Wine Month. Guests will pay $35 for a ticket to the new Toca Madera Winery, where they will enjoy wine tastings from local wineries. Food appetizers and samples will also be available to fill your stomach. This event is all about celebrating the vintners and growers who bring such a wonderful product to the state of California. Even more of an incentive to attend the event, $5 from every ticket sold goes to the local Community Food Bank.
Harvest Star Party-
September 26, 2015. Solvang, California
If you live close to Santa Barbara, then take a trip at the end of the month to commence Wine Month with a Harvest Star Party, brought to you by Buttonwood Farm Winery and Vineyard. The Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit will bring large telescopes to the Vineyard for a night of stargazing. Of course stargazing wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of wine. Tickets cost $40 and include a light dinner, wine, and a beautiful setting to look at the night sky.
